About Us
What is the Marquette Heights Men’s Club? The MHMC is a non-profit group of 18 and older males that work together to better the community. Members live in Marquette Heights and surrounding communities. Every October the MHMC puts on Spook Hollow, an attraction that has been around for 30 years. The funds raised from this event are put right back into the community. Funds raised have purchased equipment for the local police, fire, and city departments. The MHMC also donates to local scout groups, the city library, and the Enhance the Future Scholarship. The MHMC does a Christmas toy drive every December and donates to the fire department's Easter egg hunt every spring. If you would like to see some of the MHMC achievements for yourself, take a stroll through Independence Park. Over the years, the club has helped improve the park in many ways, providing both donations and labor. The park now has a lighted, blacktop walking trail, dining pavilion, handicapped accessible bathrooms, and a gazebo. If you're interested in joining the MHMC, send an email to marquetteheightsmensclub@yahoo.com or stop by one of our monthly meetings, held the first Sunday of every month (excluding holidays) at Liberty Hall.
